A little bit about me...

I  have always had a love for art, music and anything creative.

I also had a love for science and worked in healthcare for 12 years until sustaining an injury that changed my course and allowed me to revisit my artistic and musical journey.

Writing my own songs was never a thought until shortly after my mom passed on from cancer in 2013.

I started off writing one song about my mother (Sacrifice) and after I wrote that one song, the rest started to come through.

I wasn’t a trained singer, songwriter or musician. I played  simple chords on the guitar and piano and wrote some poetry.  I never thought I would write my own songs one day.

I felt this was a spiritual gift from my mom - as she loved to sing and was a woman of faith. I felt she wanted to give me something that would keep me moving forward after her passing.

Writing and recording the songs gave me hope for the future in being able to create despite feelings of loss and sorrow.

I wrote the songs in a time of grief and heartbreak, but also in experiencing a joy and presence from the Lord amidst the sorrow.

In growing closer to the Lord, I found peace again with accepting what was and believed God could somehow make all things new again.

I pray the songs are a source of hope and healing for those that hear them. I would like to thank my husband Michael Urem for all the encouragement and for believing in my dreams and my producer Craig Levy for helping me produce the album at Little Pioneer Cider House.

This album from the inception to release is 7 years in the making and I’m so happy to finally share it with the world.

Thank you for taking the time to read and listen. I hope it is a blessing to all that do. Peace and Love to all.
